Objectives

Developing people through coaching goes to the heart of good work supervision and risk management. This practical and participative workshop focuses particularly on non-directive coaching where the coach develops skills to get people thinking for themselves in developing their own problem solving capabilities.

To be clear about the role and essential skills of the coach. To improve your current skills and effectiveness in this role particularly in the area of non-directive coaching. To use coaching techniques to develop Trainees who learn to solve problems rather than ask questions.

Who should attend: Partners and senior management staff

Tutor: Sally Sanderson has over 20 years’ experience of designing and delivering training for professional services firms. She has won training awards including LETG Trainer of the Year for "her professionalism, enthusiasm and credibility, understanding of the legal market and ability to ensure programmes are relevant and tailored." She provides programmes on leadership, people management and interpersonal skills. Sally has a degree in English from Oxford, and managed training departments at Arthur Andersen and Theodore Goddard before setting up Profex Consulting in 2001.
