Objectives

This half-day workshop is designed to help solicitors, trainees and all those who work within a legal practice where accurate communication is vital. The reputational risk arising from poor punctuation, misspelling and other grammatical errors is potentially high.
The basic grammar that is essential for clear and concise writing is covered fully. Against a structured background that covers the foundations, delegates can discuss examples of any constructions they find difficult and work through exercises which reinforce their own knowledge and impart more.

Content

• Grammar - who needs it?
• Construction
• Parts of Speech – the building blocks
