Objectives

We all have an ‘Inner Critic’ which manifests itself in different forms and can prevent us from achieving our goals and being our best at work. The focus of the session is not on ignoring the ‘Inner Critic’ but on understanding what it is trying to say and then reframing it in a positive way. Some of the content is based on the work of Tara Mohr, which will be acknowledged and referenced for further reading. This session will:

  • Explain what the ‘Inner Critic’ is and why it is present in many of us
  • List the different ways in which the ‘Inner Critic’ presents itself and give you time to explore how this happens for you as an individual
  • Give tools to help change the way you respond to your ‘Inner Critic’ at difference levels
  • Explain the ‘Inner Mentor’ and how it can help overcome the ‘Inner Critic’
  • Give some solutions to help you focus more on the ‘Inner Mentor’
