Objectives

A programme for 3-4 PQE lawyers focused around personal brand/impact, personal motivation, self-reflection/awareness and networking.

Through a mixture of experiential, active and practical tasks and discussion formats, we will explore together as a group the behavioural pressure points associated with identifying, processing and action-planning the next stage in an Associate’s career at this level of qualification.

Light on theory and heavy on shared experiences, focused activities and peer-to-peer coaching, the group will spend this one day programme forging new relationships, nurturing new networks and reflecting on what got them ‘here’ and where they go next.

No role-play. No death by PowerPoint. The mantra for the programme? Share experiences, increase self-awareness and reflect deeply…

Content

  • Motivation - looking back and forwards with a critical eye and forming a vision for the ‘next step’. Where do you need to invest energy? What skills and behaviours do you need to nurture and master?
  • Pressure-point mapping – examining and auditing who you need to focus on in the context of pushing forward/’championing’ your next step and how you might do it.
  • Reducing blind spots and increasing self-awareness - examining the health of your professional relationships at work through a (practical) neuroscientific and organisational effectiveness lens. Form an action plan for positive impact.
  • Peer support networks – benchmarking your progress with colleagues and helping each other to navigate the next transition.
